Reclaimed Wool Ornaments

Heidi Leugers is a fiber artist on a mission: Zero Waste! Heidi’s work is focused on wool, a naturally renewable and recyclable material. Rather than using all virgin wool, however, each year she recycles hundreds of pounds of post-consumer wool sweaters. Even the scraps--cuffs, collars, seams, labels, bits of yarn and fiber--are recovered and reused in the production of new items in the studio, with almost nothing ending up in the local landfill.
